Why are you concerned about the environment?
I am concerned that life in the future will be less fun and more about survival.

If we listen to nature and we are in tune with nature we will make the right decisions regarding our environment.

How did your role as an Arts Educator inspire your play?
I wrote a song with a primary aged class about urban vs rural living. (click MP3)

How does skateboarding relate to your story?
Extreme skateboarding was created during a drought in L.A.

Is it true that you skateboarded on a team when you were in high school?
Yes I competed, tested equipment, did demos, and got lots of press. But really, all me and my friends liked to do was skate.

Why do you like teaching children music?
They are fun and honest

In creating this porduction, I was inspired

I heard you think of songs as inventions. Can you name a favorite inventor and invention?
The modern 7 ply maple skateboard was invented by my skateboard sponsor in the 70's. His name was Wee Willie Winkels (this could also be a character in my garden) and I am hoping to write a song about him in the near future. An ode to his life and his contributions to skateboarding.
